Authors Fee Policy

Starting from 20 August 2026, Applied Research in Science and Technology will implement a submission fee policy.

This policy was introduced following observations by the editorial board that a considerable number of authors do not proceed with the revision of their manuscripts after receiving peer review feedback. In light of this, a submission fee has been introduced as a preliminary screening mechanism, intended to ensure that manuscripts are submitted by authors who are genuinely committed to seeing their work through to publication in Applied Research in Science and Technology.

The submission fee is not subject to the acceptance-rejection condition, is requested to cover the costs incurred during the process. Paying a fee does not mean that the article will be accepted and does not increase the chances of acceptance.

The submission fee is IDR 300.000

Furthermore, in accordance with the previous Authors' Fee Policy, the Article Processing Charge (APC) remains unchanged at IDR 2,500,000. This fee is intended to cover the costs of publication, which include: peer review management, editorial oversight, production and hosting, and long-term archiving.

Authors who have paid the submission fee and whose articles are subsequently accepted by the editor are eligible to apply their submission fee toward the APC, thereby reducing the total amount payable to IDR 2,200,000.

In essence, the APC remains consistent with the previous policy at IDR 2,500,000; however, a submission fee has been introduced as an initial screening measure to identify authors who are genuinely serious and committed to publishing their work in Applied Research in Science and Technology.

All official notifications regarding the submission fee and APC will be sent exclusively from areste.ressi@gmail.com. Authors are advised to remain cautious of emails claiming to be from Applied Research in Science and Technology sent from any other address, as these are likely fraudulent (phishing) attempts.

BAHASA INDONESIA

Mulai 20 Agustus 2026, Applied Research in Science and Technology akan memberlakukan kebijakan biaya pengajuan naskah (submission fee).
